English Interview Examination For Siriraj 4th-Year Medical Student Exchange Program 2020 (Continued)

On July 24th, 2019, Prof. Thawatchai Akaraviputh, Deputy Dean for International Relations, along with Assoc.Prof. Chatchawan Srisawat, Chairman of Department of Biochemistry, and Assoc.Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Assistant Dean for International Relation, conducted an English Interview Examination to Siriraj 4th-year medical students. The successful qualified medical students will participate in Siriraj Medical Student Exchange Program 2020 at the World-renowned universities such as National University of Singapore (NUS), New Tokyo Hospital, Japan, and the Gummersbach (Academic Teaching Hospital of the University of Cologne), Germany.

Hokkaido Summer Institute 2019

Hokkaido University (HU) in Japan established the Hokkaido Summer Institute (HSI) in 2016. 139 courses, 116 courses for graduate students and 23 courses for undergraduate students, will be offered by HU faculties and more than 160 world-leading researchers from over 100 institutions around the world in 2019.

HSI 2019 covers most of the disciplines of the university and enables participants to expand their academic knowledge and develop skills. They can also cultivate a better understanding of other cultures and improve their communication skills through the HSI. It also gives them the opportunity to attend field training using Hokkaido’s extensive landscape and to engage in active learning so that they are capable of thriving on the world stage. HSI 2019 runs from June 3rd to October 18th, when they can enjoy Hokkaido’s beautiful summer.

Each course is worth 1 or 2 academic credits. Most of the courses run for one or two weeks. Students can tailor their own summer program by combining courses according to their major and interests. The medium of instruction is in English.

The HU main campus located in the center of Sapporo. The city attracts a large number of tourists from across Japan and around the world due to its harmonious combination of natural beauty and urban lifestyle. During the HSI, they can enjoy not only the refreshing climate but also the renowned food, picturesque landscapes, and popular events.

     On November 26th, 2018, Clin. Prof. Supat Vanichakarn, Secretary General of Prince Mahidol Award Foundation under the Royal Patronage along with Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Director General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Vicharn Panich, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Working Committee, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Working Committee, and Prof. Sompop Limpongsanurak, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Selection Committee, attended the press conference on the result of the Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Scholarship Recipients 2018, declaring the name of five scholarship recipients at Prince Mahidol Aduldej Room, 4th floor, Siriraj Medical Library. Five selected scholarship recipients are Mr. Kanjapat Temahivong from Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Mr. Charupong Saengboonmee, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Mr. Punyapat Maprapho, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Ms. Pichatorn Suppakitjanusant, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and Mr. Suangson Supabphol, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.
