On May 8^th, 2023, Prof. Vip Viprakasit, Professor of the Division of Hematology & Oncology, Department of Pediatrics, and the Program Director for thalassemia research at the Siriraj-Thalassaemia Center was invited as a guest speaker to share his unparalleled expertise with over 20 years of experience in molecular medicine, working on several hematological conditions, particularly thalassemia, and over 100 peer-reviewed articles in Science, Lancet, PNAS, Blood, and so on. Prof. Vip provided the audience with his insight on the topic “Conventional management of alpha thalassemia,” at the Webinar “Thalassemia Today. Cure, Care, and Research. Celebrating successes and addressing persistent unmet needs in Thalassemia” commemorating “World Thalassemia Day” which hosted by Thalassemia Reports.

Thalassemia Reports is a peer-reviewed international medical journal for physicians and medical scientists covering the pathophysiology, diagnosis, classification, and treatment of thalassemia and related disorders.

During November 12^th – 14^th, 2022, Lect. Dr. Maynart Sukharomana of the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a research poster presentation on the topic “The Structured Curriculum Development Significantly Increased the Pediatric Residents’ Competency and Confidence During a 4-week Pediatric Rheumatology Rotation” at the “American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Convergence 2022” in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. This research will help contribute to the improvement of pediatric rheumatology education in Thailand and in the global community. The abstract has been published in the ACR Convergence 2022 Abstract Supplement of Arthritis & Rheumatology: Vol 74, No S9, and the ACR website.
