The LINNC Seminar 2022 – Asia Edition

During December 6th – 7th, 2022, Clin. Prof. Anchalee Churojana, a Chairwoman of the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, and Assoc. Prof. Thaweesak Aurboonyawat from the Division of Neurological Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, will attend as an invited faculty at the international seminar for the interventional NeuroRadiology, Neurology, and NeuroSurgery community, “the LINNC Seminar 2022 – Asia Edition” in Singapore. This two-day program will offer participants discussions around interesting pre-recorded clinical cases with famous guests, the LINNC Asia has the ambition to offer educational content to everyone in order to improve their clinical knowledge with a single objective: to propose the best treatment for our patients.

On November 14th, 2022, Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, the former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, along with Prof. Thawatchai Akaraviputh, the Deputy Dean and Director of Siriraj Medical School, Prof. Kulkanya Chokephaibulkit, the former Director of Siriraj Institute of Clinical Research (SiCRES), Prof. Pa-thai Yenchitsomanus, Assoc. Prof. Peti Thuwajit, Assistant Dean for Postgraduate Education, Prof. Chanitra Thuwajit, Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation, Assoc. On September 22nd, 2022, Asst. Prof. Rathachai Kaewlai of the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited as a guest speaker to deliver a special lecture on the topic “Imaging of Bowel and Mesenteric Injuries” at the “20th Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR 2022)” on the theme “Together! Toward a New Era of Radiology” in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (South Korea).

Siriraj Stereotactic Radiosurgery Scientific Conference

The Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has organized the international conference, “Siriraj Stereotactic Radiosurgery Scientific Conference” between August 25th – 26th, 2022. This conference is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary conference, bringing together world-class healthcare professionals such as Prof. Iris C. Gibbs from Stanford University, USA, and Asst. Prof. Joost Nuyttens from Erasmus Medical Center, the Netherland, including the faculty members of the Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, who were interested in the latest discoveries, clinical research, and technological advancements of stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiation therapy, and precision therapies presented in this conference.

Siriraj Faculty Abroad at ISPNO 2022

Asst. Prof. Warissara Rongthong of the Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster presentation on the topic “The comparison of dosimetric parameters for predicting radiation-induced cataract in pediatric patients” at the 20th International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology (ISPNO 2022) in Hamburg, Germany, from June 12th – 15th, 2022.

ISPNO is the largest international scientific meeting of multidisciplinary professionals in research, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of children and adolescents with tumors of the Central Nervous System. The event was co-hosted by the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) Heidelberg.

Siriraj Faculty Abroad at ESTRO 2022

Assoc. Prof. Janjira Petsuksiri from Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster presentation on the topic “Comorbidity index and LVSI for treatment selection for intermediate risk endometrial cancer patients” at the hybrid international conference “The European SocieTy for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) Congress 2022” during May 6th – 10th, 2022, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Siriraj Faculty Abroad at 19th AOCR

Prof. Piyaporn Apisarnthanarak of Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered an oral presentation on the research topic “Mucinous Colorectal Adenocarcinoma: Is CT Good Enough for Preoperative Prediction?” at the 19th Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR). This meeting was held as a virtual platform in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, between July 1st – 4th, 2021.

AOCR is a congress for the Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology. The aim is to promote scientific collaborations, professional rapport, exchanges of knowledge and friendship amongst the Asian Oceanian region. The theme for the meeting is ‘From Pixel to Clarity’.

Siriraj Faculty Abroad at Mayo Clinic & Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Congratulations! Asst.Prof. Achiraya Teyateeti of Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has completed her role as a ‘Visiting Scholar/Research Fellow’ at the Mayo Clinic, Minnesota, and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, between February 11th, 2019 – February 6th, 2021.

After her completion, Asst.Prof. Achiraya is determined to improve the stereotactic radiosurgery/stereotactic body radiotherapy service and conduct research in central nervous system tumor and prostate cancer!
