Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Chairman of Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, along with Assoc. Prof. Bavornrit Chuckpaiwong, Chief of Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and Asst. Prof. Theerawoot Tharmviboonsri, delivered a certificate of completion to Dr. Daman Kumar Jha, an orthopedic surgeon from Nepal Mediciti Hospital, Nepal, who successfully completed “Siriraj International Fellowship Training Program in Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery” at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery during January 1st – December 31st, 2021.

Short Training Program at Siriraj Orthopaedic Surgery

Welcome, Dr. Heinrich Franner, an orthopaedic surgeon from Trauma Center Meidling, Vienna, Austria, to undertake “Siriraj’s international short training program in diagnostics and treatment of foot and ankle Injury” at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Bavornrit Chuckpaiwong starts from October 25th, 2021 to January 14th, 2022.

Siriraj Faculty Abroad at Virtual EFORT Congress 2020

On October 28th  – 30th, 2020, Lecturer Dr. Pakpoom Ruangsomboon of Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has given the podium presentation via the Virtual EFORT platform on the topic “An Evaluation of the Effect of Mecobalaminon the Change of Area of Skin Numbness After Total Knee Arthroplasty: a Randomized Double-Blinded Placebo-Controlled Trial” at the VIRTUAL EFORT CONGRESS 2020.

The European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT) was established by the national associations for orthopaedics and traumatology from twenty European countries. The Federation was founded in Marentino, Italy, in 1991, and today has 41 national member societies from 39 member countries, as well as 13 associate scientific members.

Prof. Aasis Unnanuntana from Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital was invited to be a symposium guest speaker to give a talk on “Complex Total Knee Arthroplasty” at the 63rd Annual Congress of the Korean Orthopaedic Association at the Grand Hilton Seoul, the Republic of Korea on October 17th, 2019.

Siriraj Scholarship Recipient Completed the Musculoskeletal Aging Training from UK

Asst. Prof. Dr. Pojchong Chotiyarnwong from Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has completed “1-Year Training in Musculoskeletal Aging” from University of Sheffield, UK, between October 1st, 2018 – September 30th, 2019, under the Scholarship from Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

Welcome, Dr. Thaw Zin Htoo from Myanmar to attend Siriraj’s short training program “Clinical Observership Training Program in Hand and Micro Surgery (brachial plexus injuries)” at Division of Hand and Micro Surgery, Department of Orthopaedics Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital between September 16th – October 25th, 2019.
