Prof. Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul, Chairman of Siriraj Cancer Center, Asst. Prof. Charuwan Akewanlop, Chief of the Division of Radiation Oncology, Assoc. Siriraj’s Clinical Pathology Laboratory Receives Accreditation from College of American Pathologists!

The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) awarded accreditation to Siriraj’s Clinical Pathology Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, based on the results of a recent on-site inspection conducted by CAP inspectors.

The CAP advised Assoc. Prof. Panutsaya Tientadakul, MD, a Chairperson of the Department of Clinical Pathology, of this national recognition and congratulated Siriraj’s Clinical Pathology Laboratory for its excellence in the services being provided. Siriraj’s Clinical Pathology Laboratory is one of more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide!

During the CAP accreditation process, designed to ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. CAP inspectors also examine laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record, and overall management.

Welcome, Dr. Shinsuke Takeda, an orthopaedic surgeon from Nagoya City University, Japan, to undertake the “Clinical Observership Program in Hand and Microsurgery” at the Division of Hand and Microsurgery, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery between November 1st – 30th, 2022, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Roongsak Limthongthang.

Certification Ceremony for Short Training Program in Endourology and Urology

Assoc. Prof. Chanean Ruansetakit, a Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, delivered a certificate of completion to Dr. Hilde Dirkine Hoving, a urological surgeon from University Medical Centre Groningen, The Netherlands, who successfully completed a short training program “Clinical Short Training Program in Endourology and Urology” at the Division of Urology Surgery, Department of Surgery, from August 1st – Octoberber 31st, 2022.

Siriraj Faculty Abroad at the 30th World Congress of the International​ Society​ of​ Hair ​Restoration​ Surgery​ (ISHRS)

On October 28th, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Ratthaphon Thuangtong of the Division of Hair Disorders and Hair Transplantation, Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited as an international speaker to deliver a special lecture on the topic “The Effects of Music on Anxiety and Pain in Hair Transplantation” at the 30th World Congress of the International​ Society​ of​ Hair ​Restoration​ Surgery​ (ISHRS) in Panama City, Panama.
