On April 25^th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over the launching ceremony of the “China-ASEAN Science and Technology Cooperation Center for Public Health” at Peking University in China. It aims to foster high-level exchange and cooperation in healthcare, global health research, and research exchange between healthcare institutes in Thailand and China.

The China-ASEAN Science and Technology Cooperation Center for Public Health Network was established by Peking University and Mahidol University in partnership with 22 healthcare institutes from China and 21 institutes from ASEAN. The Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital played a crucial role in the collaborative framework in healthcare, as negotiations began back in 2019. This initiative is expected to lead to innovative solutions and contribute to the advancement of public health in both regions.

On April 24^th, 2023, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, the President of Mahidol University, together with Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital; Clin. Prof. Visit Vamvanij, Director of Siriraj Hospital; Assoc. Prof. Yongyut Sirivatanauksorn, Deputy Dean of Integrated Center of Excellence, and the directors of Siriraj Hospital’s 17 Centers of Excellence; presided over the opening ceremony of “Siriraj Center of Excellence Forum 2023 – Together Is Power … Creating Sustainable Excellence, Together” at the 100th Year Siriraj Centennial Hall.

“Siriraj Center of Excellence Forum 2023 – Together Is Power … Creating Sustainable Excellence, Together” is held for the occasion of 135th anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and to exibit the excellence of Siriraj Hospital’s 17 Excellence Centers: Siriraj Adult Acute Myeloid/ Lymphoblastic Leukemia (SiAML); Siriraj Aortic Center; Siriraj Diabetes Center of Excellencer (SiDM) Siriraj Emergency Medical Services (SiEMS); Siriraj Fetal Therapy Center (SiFTC); Siriraj Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Excellence Center (SiELITE); Siriraj Excellence Center for Inherited Metabolic Diseases and Newborn Screening (SiIMD&NBS); Siriraj Center of Interventional Radiology (SiCIR); Siriraj Liver Transplant Center (SiLTx); Siriraj Center of Neuromuscular Disease (SiNMD); Siriraj Skin Laser Center (SiSL); Siriraj Stroke Center (SiStroke); Siriraj Thalassemia Center (SiTH); Siriraj Transcatheter Heart Intervention and Surgery (SiTHIS); Siriraj Urticaria and Angioedema Center (SiUAC); Siriraj Vascular Center (SiVasC); and Siriraj Vision Rehabilitation Center & Holistic Care (SiVRC).

On April 19^th, 2023, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and Siriraj’s Administrative Members: Prof. Thawatchai Akaraviputh, Director of Siriraj Medical School; Assoc.Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Assoc.Prof. Thawornchai Limjindaporn, Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Education; Assoc.Prof. Sith Sathornsumetee, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Yongyut Sirivatanauksorn, Deputy Dean of Integrated Center of Excellence; Assoc. Prof. Cherdchai Nopmaneejumruslers, Deputy Dean of Service Innovations and Corporate Value; and Prof. Thananya Boonyasirinant from Siriraj Cardiac Center; welcomed the distinguished delegates from the Embassy of Israel in Thailand led by Her Excellency Ms. Orna Sagiv, the Ambassador of Israel; Mr. Tomer Shpilman, an Economic Counsellor and Head of Israel Economic and Trade Mission; and Mr. Patthadon Thanntrakul, the Partnership, and Investment Manager, on an introductory meeting between Siriraj and the Embassy of Israel to Siriraj’s activities, post Israel trip feedback and to strengthen a relationship between the two parties.
