On October 6th, 2023 Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Onuma Chaiwat, Deputy Dean for Quality Development; Asst. Prof. Dr. Prapat Suriyaphol, Deputy Dean for Information Technology; Ms. Chamaiporn Charpenkraikamol, Head Nurse, Division of Nursing; and Ms. Premjit Suttipoom, Head of Pharmacy Department welcomed our distinguished guests from the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies, University of Health Sciences, Lao PDR led by Dr. Vanphanom Sychareun, Dean of Faculty of Public Health on visit and discussion for future collaboration at Center of Medical Education Technology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

The discussion covered hospital management, healthcare services, clinical pharmacy, nursing, radiology, medical lab equipment, accreditation, health information, and nutrition.

Faculty of Medicine Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Visits Siriraj

On August 11th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, M.D., Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, and Assoc. Prof. Pravit Akarasereenont, M.D., the Director of the Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine welcomed Dr.dr. Sri Sundari.M Kes, Dean Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences along with the delegates from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia: dr. Siti Aminah TSE, M.Kes, SpKK.,  Vice Dean of human resource and funding; dr. Ika Setyawati, MSc School of Medicine Program Study Secretary; dr. Ikhlas M. Jenie, PhD., Head of Quality Assurance; and dr. Farindira Vesti Rahmasari, MSc. on visit and discussion at Medical Education Technology Center, Siriraj Medical Simulation Center for Education and Training (SiMSET), and Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (Center of Excellence Management).

Siriraj Faculty Abroad at ANZAHPE 2023 in Australia

During June 26th-29th, 2023, Ms. Pansa Noiskul, Teaching Assistant, Vetnitat Phattana School, Medical Education Technology Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, delivered a poster presentation on “Supporting self-directed training of basic transthoracic echocardiography knowledge with 3D augmented reality for resident doctorsat The Australian & New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators (ANZAHPE) conference 2023 in Australia. This experience provided the opportunity to strengthen network connections and partner up with other professionals related to immersive technology (AR, VR, and MR) for medical education.

ANZAHPE conferences are ideal for health professional educators in the Asia-Pacific region. They provide intellectual stimulation and social engagement and support educational research with grants, awards, conference presentations, and peer-reviewed articles in their journal.

Kyushu University Visits Siriraj

On March 13th, 2023, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, along with the Siriraj’s Administrative Members: Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Thawornchai Limjindaporn, Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Education; Dr. Pennapa Kaweewongprasert Representative from Student Affairs; and Asst. Prof. Monchai Ruangchainikom, welcomed the distinguished guests from Kyushu University, Japan, led by Prof. Shimizu S., Vice President of Kyushu University (International Affairs), and his team: Prof. Hamase K., Vice Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyushu University; Prof. Hyakumura K., Vice Director, Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Kyushu University; Prof. Higo M., International Student Center, Kyushu University; A. Prof. Qian K., Research Futures Coordinator, Institute for Asian and Oceanian Studies; A. Prof. Ichikawa K., Research Institute for Applied Mechanics, Kyushu University; A. After the discussion, the guests from Kyushu also visited Siriraj Medical Education Technology Center, Siriraj Fetal Therapy Center, and Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine.

The Medical Educational Technology Center has 9 ongoing research titles. Four of those granted research funding from R2R project of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. Moreover, two paper publications were accepted to be published inf Vejnitat Journal.
