Siriraj Won the Third Place of WIP Budapest Best Posters 2019

During August 26th – 28th, 2019, Asst.Prof. Nantthasorn Zinboonyahgoon, Chief of Siriraj Pain Management Clinical Training Center, attended the 24th Annual Gabor Racz Advanced Interventional Pain Conference and Workshops in Budapest, Hungary, and won the Third Place Award of WIP Budapest Best Posters 2019 from the topic “Prospective Study Comparing Quality of Life between Opioids Sparing Protocol and WHO Guideline in Metastatic Bone Cancer: Preliminary Analysis“.

Siriraj International Fellowship Training in Clinical Pain Management 2019

Regarding our Pain Clinic run 1-year fellowship program in the subspecialty of the anesthesiologist in Pain Management at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital in the year 2019. We would like to inform you that it will be started on 1 August 2019 to 31 July 2020. We want to encourage 1-year training to ensure that trainee has learned and trained skill in managing pain and able to do some of the useful procedures and technique.

We can afford to accept two doctors to attend a fellowship in Pain Management each year; this is not the regular course. The scholarships regularly provide for Southeast Asia countries (ASEAN + Mongolia are the most priorities for this program).

The selected candidates will be provided with tuition fees waived, accommodation, round-trip air ticket those supported by International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) and World Federations of Societies of Anesthesiologists (WFSA).

We would like to collect all candidates’ document deadline at the 7th of March and put it through our Board Committee meeting for their consideration every February. Then we will reply to inform the answer to all candidates at the end of March every year.

The 6th International Pain Forum and Cadaveric Workshop

On January 21st, 2019, Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, presided over the 6th International Pain Forum and Cadaveric Workshop held during January 21st – 23rd, 2019 at Siriraj Medical Research Center. The forum was held to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Siriraj Pain Management Clinical Training Center and to provide the platform for exchange, update, and discussion the upcoming issue and controversy in pain management, seasoned by many reputed international speakers from both domestic and international pain arenas.

 

Four Bangladeshi Doctors Attend the Observership Program at Siriraj

Four Bangladeshi doctors from Medical Education and Health Manpower Development, the Government of Bangladesh attend “Clinical Observership in Thoracic Surgery and Thoracic Anesthesia” at Division of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery, and Department of Anesthesiology,  Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Punnarerk Thongcharoen and his team including the thoracic anesthesiologist from Department of Anesthesiology during November 26 – 30, 2018.
