Short Training for Bhutanese ENT Center Development Project
Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has organized the Short-term Training Courses for the Development of the Ear Nose Throat Center in the Kingdom of Bhutan between September 5th – 30th, 2022, as follows.

Between September 5th – 16th, 2022, the first group of audiometricians and hearing aid technicians from Bhutan attended the workshop “Audiometrician Workshop for Technicians and Hearing Aids Troubleshooting and Fitting,” organized by Asst. Prof. M.L. Kanthong Thongyai, M.D., the Course Director and Chief of the Otology Neurotology Audiology and Balance Division.
On 2nd September 2022, Mr.Puttinant Rungsunlohakul, an Academic Officer of Siriraj Museum, guided the participants on a museum tour at Siriraj Medical Museum, Congdon Anatomical Museum, and Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum.
Siriraj Faculty Abroad in Vietnam
Assoc. Prof. Archwin Tanphaichitr from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, was invited to be Chairperson/Speaker at the 8th Asia Pacific Pediatric Otolaryngology Conference (APOG2022) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam during August 5th – 6th, 2022. He was a chairman in the session on Immunotherapy, Pediatric ENT Infectious Disease, and Laryngology, delivered a special talk on the topic “Management of Complete Tracheal Rings” and also attended the Pre-Congress Course: “Advanced Airway Surgery” on August 5th, 2022.

Congratulations to Lect. Dr. Prachya Maneeprasopchoke whose research on Intraoperative nerve monitoring in thyroid surgery: Analysis of recurrent laryngeal nerve identification and operative time has been published in Laryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology (Impact factor=2.458).
Moreover, Lect. Dr. Prachya Maneeprasopchoke was the course director for Lecture and Hands-on : Endoscopic thyroid surgery cadaver workshop 2022 held on April 4th, 2022.

Congratulations to Dr.Thanion Soopanit, Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery, on receiving one of the best poster at Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meeting 2022 in Dallas Texus, USA. Dr.Thanion’s poster is titled on “Prognostic value and clinicopathological status of PD-L1 expression and CD8+ TILs in oral squamous cell cancer patients with or without traditional risk” #ENTSiriraj
Moreover, in this meeting she had the opportunity to meet Dr.Jatin Shah, Dr.Brian Burkey and other famous professors in order to introduce herself for a potential international fellowship.
